An Evening Stroll

April 24, 2010

One of the real pleasures of life is an evening stroll. The pleasure increases when the weather is pleasant, and the walk takes you beside a river as the sun starts to set.

There is such a sense of peace (except, of course for birdsong or the buzzing of a bee). The sound of the river is very soothing too.

There were some lovely trees…

and flowers

The saddest part of any walk is that it has to end.

    • Thank you for your kind words, there are some really beautiful places to walk here ~ I’m very happy (and honoured) to share.

  2. What I would give to be where you were when you snapped that one of the awesome tree above the daffodil picture! Fantastic! I always enjoy walking by creeks or rivers. They tend to almost lull me to sleep. Great photos!

    • I know what you mean, the sound of the river can be so soothing and relaxing. Thank you so much for visiting and for using some of my pics in your blog

  3. If you like the daffodil pic, may I suggest you look at “Capture” website by Cathy Ross (link is in the PHOTOS list and also “Images and Words by Kerri”). Both of these amazing photographers have been instrumental in my attempt at taking that pic

  4. Simon~I love your blog!! I feel like I’m walking along the banks of the river right along with you 🙂 I just noticed your kind words about Capture! ~ thank you so much for that! Your daffodil pic is beatiful. As I mentioned earlier…daffodils will always remind me of you my friend. Cheers, Cathy
